Sulfur is mainly known for neutralizing and eliminating toxins.
Shark cartilage contains a little calcium and phosphorus, but especially chondroitin sulphate which constitutes an important contribution of sulfur. One of the main metabolic effects of sulfate is to allow sulfation, a liver reaction.
Sulfoconjugation is the chemical reaction that takes place in the liver (phase 2). Thanks to the action of a coenzyme (Phosphoadénylyl Phosphosulfate - PAPS), a new molecule is formed by fixing a sulfate ion on existing molecules.
Sulfation will allow the human body to eliminate toxic molecules or products (heavy metals, drugs, various pollutants). When chelating heavy metals or other pollutants using algae for example (laminaria, chlorella or spirulina), the toxins are dislodged from the heart of the cells and put back into circulation in the blood. Blood carries them to the exit doors of the body (kidneys, skin, emunctories), but for the body to actually excrete them, these toxic molecules must absolutely be water-soluble. It is by combining with a sulfur ion that they will become so.
It is at this point that the powerful sulfur-providing chondroitin sulfate becomes very important. If the minerals and trace elements are measured in people who are chelating, they often have a sulfur deficiency. Therefore, the elimination of heavy metals becomes impossible due to lack of sulfur.
Thus, for a chelation to be successful, the ideal is to provide the body with an additional supply of assimilable sulfur. Sulfur C allows this action. Thanks to the sulfur of chondroitin sulfate that Sulfur C naturally contains, the molecules to be chelated will become water-soluble and will be easily eliminated by the kidneys and by the skin.
Chondroitin Sulfate increases the production of all the sulfated molecules useful to the body. The general health can thus be improved by these assimilable sulfur contributions. The benefits will manifest themselves in the connective tissues, the cardiovascular and neurological system but also in the skin, hair, nails, etc.
